Share the Dignity Round - 6 August
Access to period products is a right, not a privilege. But 1 in 5 Australians have been unable to afford period products at some point in their life. That’s why WDNA are collecting period products to help those in need on Saturday 6th August, as part of @sharethedignityaustralia’s #DignityDrive. We accept all products in original packaging, including pads, tampons, maternity pads, period undies, menstrual cups and incontinence products. Branded collection boxes will be available at the clubhouse for all donations.

Rolling Substitutions in A Grade & A Reserve
In line with the rep competitions, Wests will be trialling Rolling Substitutions in the A Grade and A Reserve Competition. Commencing this Saturday 19 June, and will be reviewed at the end of the season.
See below the rules around using Rolling Subs:
- Teams are allowed to make substitutions during play and at stoppages and intervals.
- There will be no limit to the number of rolling substitutions a team can make, and multiple substitutions can be made at any one time.
- Players must observe the offside rules as they enter or exit the court and must not interfere with the umpire’s movements during the change.
- The substitute must tag hands with the player leaving the court before entering the field of play. This must take place at the end of the court on the grassed area.
- If any infringement is made during a substitution, a free pass will be given where the ball is when the interference or offside entry / exit occurs.
- Bibs must be exactly the same so it suggested two sets be used. If players have to change bibs this must be done with both players at the end of the court.

Urgent Players Required for Coaching Course
WDNA are seeking players to assist with the practical component of the Face to Face Development Coaching Workshop this Sunday 22nd May. Players will be exposed to specialist coaching and it is a great opportunity for players to take part. They’ll need to be dressed in training attire, bring water, sweat towels, hat, sunscreen and some snack food. This will be on a first in, best dressed scenario. Ie competitive teams play 2 weeks of finals (as the ladder stands) or play-off games on 28 August and 4 September. Non-competitive teams will have normal fixtures on both these dates. COVID UPDATE - 8 August
| NO NETBALL UNTIL RESTRICTIONS ARE LIFTED Qld Government announced this morning there would be no community sport for two weeks. We know that our members "just want to play netball" and experience has taught us to plan for what we know now. With that in mind, we have set down fixtures for 28 August and 4 September, to finalise our season. No finals will be played - just for the love of netball. Fixtures will be updated soon. Waratah Social Netball games will be postponed until 23 August. Thank you to everyone for your support and a huge shout out to those in quarantine. We appreciate your efforts in keeping everyone safe! |

| As per advice from Qld Health, WDNA has been identified as an exposure site on: - Thursday, 29 July (Court 1 from 4.30-5.40pm) and - Saturday, 31 July (Court 22 from 9.45am-11.30am). WDNA has been working with the Public Health Unit and provided contact information as required. The PHU will be in contact with people who will need to get tested and/or isolate. We will also be conduction a deep clean of our facilities over the next few days. This a timely reminder to all our members to get tested immediately if you feel unwell.  | WDNA will be holding a Pink Sports Day on Saturday 24th July to help raise money for Breast Cancer. This is an event run in conjunction with Breast Cancer Network Australia.  | Each year, NAIDOC Week celebrations highlight the rich and diverse cultures of Aboriginal peoples and Torres Strait Islander people, the First Australians. The 2021 NAIDOC Week theme is 'Heal Country!' and calls for greater protection for land, waters, sacred sites, and cultural heritage. Cultural heritage is inherent to cultural identity. |
