Whilst some children have played netball from a young age, others have not. It is important to take this into account when coaching your team and when referencing the skills framework, remembering a solid foundation of basic skills is crucial to building on more technical skills and being able to execute on court strategy.
Basic skills of catching, landing and passing should be built into every session from beginner to elite. Meet your athletes where they are at and build on what they can already do.
