Q. Is NetSetGo right for my child?

A. If your child is between 5 and 10, wants to try netball, and enjoys being active and playing with other children, NetSetGO is a great place to start. They don't need to be good at catching, throwing or running. That's what they're there to learn!

Q. My child has never played before. Can they join?

A. Absolutely! NetSetGO is designed for children who are new to netball. Coaches teach the basic skills through fun games and activities.

Q. How long does the season run?

A. NetSetGo runs from May to August.

Q. What age is NetSetGo for?

A. NetSetGO generally caters for children from 5 to 10 years, with children progressing through different stages as they get older and develop their skills.

Q. What does my child need to bring?

A. Comfy clothes for movement, suitable sports shoes, a water bottle and a hat/sunscreen.

Q. What if my child doesn't want to join in, can I settle them?

A. A good coach will encourage them gently and help them become comfortable with the group. You can help too.

Q. Will my child play a particular position?

A. No. At this age, it's beneficial for children to experience different positions and develop a broad range of skills and the expectation is that children are rotated across all seven positions until they reach the competitive age groups (11 years onwards).

Q. Can parents stay and watch?

A. Yes! Parents are encouraged to stay to support their children.

Q. How much does it cost?

A. The cost varies slightly between clubs. Contact your preferred club for information.
