Coaching Accrediations
Coaching Accreditations
Netball Australia offers a six tiered coaching qualification from total beginner to the high performance coach. Whilst you do not have to undertake any courses to coach netball at club level, if you have the time, it is encouraged.
The entry level to your coaching journey is the Foundation course which is online only and a simple introduction to the fundamentals of grassroots netball coaching.
Wests regularly hold Development courses which are online and face to face getting a little deeper into the nitty gritty of coaching netball.
The Netball Australia accreditation framework;
| 1. Foundation | Learn the basics of coaching and how to run a good session | Beginners, parents, NetSetGO and club coaches |
| 2. Development | Learn how to teach skills properly and correct mistakes | Club, association and regional coaches |
| 3. Intermediate | Start coaching more competitive representative players | Rep / representative coaches |
| 4. Advanced | More detailed coaching, analysis and performance development | Higher-level representative & State League |
| 5. Elite | High-level performance coaching | Top State League, ANC and SSN environments |
| 6. High Performance | The highest level – leading elite programs | Head coaches in the high-performance system |
